• Clippers: Triple-A Columbus (50-46) dropped a 7-3 decision to visiting Scranton/WB and only generated four hits. Starter Shane Bieber went three innings, giving up three hits, two earned and struck out five batters. Scranton/WB had 11 hits.

• RubberDuck­s: Double-A Akron (57-40) won on a walkoff over Richmond, 1211. Bobby Bradley homered in the bottom of the ninth to tie at 11-11, before Mark Mathias hit a sacrifice fly to right field scoring, Connor Marabell for the win. Willi Castro led the offense going 2-for-3 with three RBI, and Marabell went 3-for-4 with one RBI. Richmond scored four runs in the top of the ninth before the RubberDuck­s’ heroics.

• Hillcats: Advanced Single-A Lynchburg fell to Wilmington, 3-1, in the first game of a doublehead­er. Starter Eli Morgan pitched five innings, giving up three earned runs, and Wilmington starter Andres Sotillet tossed 6 2⁄3 innings, striking out two and walking three batters. The Hillcats (4550) won the second game, 10-0, behind a trio of pitchers in Leandro Linares, Ben Krauth, and James Karinchak. Trenton Brooks went 3-for-4 with two RBI.

• Scrappers: Short-Season Single-A Mahoning Valley (19-12) lost a 7-5 decision to Auburn. Richard Palacios led the offense going 3-for5 and two RBI, while Clark Scolamiero added three RBI. Starter Juan Mota tossed 4 2⁄3 innings, giving up six hits and four earned runs.
