• Clippers: Andrew Miller pitched one inning in Triple-A Columbus’ 5-0 victory over Scranton/ Wilkes-Barre. Miller allowed one hit and struck out one. He threw 16 pitches, including nine for strikes. Adam Plutko started and struck out five in four innings. First baseman Nellie Rodriguez hit a three-run home run for the Clippers (52-47).

• Rubber Ducks: Double-A Akron (60-40) scored the game-winning run on an error in the 10th inning to beat visiting Richmond, 9-8. Connor Marabell started the bottom of the 10th on second base and came around to score when Flying Squirrels pitcher Dan Siania committed a throwing error on a sacrifice bunt by Willi Castro. Marabell finished 3-for-5 with a double and two runs scored. He also drove in his 59th run of the season. First baseman Bobby Bradley hit his 21st home run of the year for the Rubber Ducks. The two-run blast gives him 58 RBI.

• Hillcats: In a game that featured two rain delays and an extra inning, advanced Single-A Lynchburg (46-52) fell to Carolina, 6-5, in 10 innings. Shortstop Ernie Clement had three hits, including two doubles, a run scored and an RBI.

• Scrappers: Short-season Single-A Mahoning Valley (22-12) used five-run seventh inning and a seven-run ninth to power past host Batavia, 16-8. Every player in the Scrappers’ lineup had at least one hit, and all but one scored at least once. Left fielder Michael Tinsley was 3-for-6 with three runs and an RBI. Center fielder Hosea Nelson was 3-for-5 with two run and four RBI. Frist baseman Simeon Lucas had three hits, three RBI and two runs.
