“Building Effective Relationships” is the topic to be delivered by keynote speaker Marvin Montgomery.

If you want to gain insight on how professional relationships play a role in business success, plan on attending this year’s LakeGeauga Fast Track 50 dinner on Nov. 7.

In fact, “Building Effective Relationships” is the topic of the address being delivered at the event by keynote speaker Marvin Montgomery.

It’s a subject that Montgomery has covered for nearly 30 years in his role as a professional sales trainer, motivational speaker and author.

Montgomery’s presentations have helped hundreds of organizations to meet or exceed their sales goals using his training programs, according to his website, marvinmontgomery.com.

While Montgomery’s basic philosophy is that “Preparation and practice are the keys to sales success,” his programs also stress the importance and benefits of building strong relationships during the selling process.

For example, in Montgomery’s “Mastering the Essential Keys to Sales Success” program, a four-part series he’ll be presenting in September and October in Solon, each participant will learn how to expand his or her sales-referral base, along with techniques to strengthen relationships with customers.

In addition to his training programs, Montgomery has given keynote addresses, public workshops and presentations for all industries, professional services, chambers, associations and organizations of all sizes. His speeches include such topics as “Are You Practicing on Your Customers?” “How to Cultivate New Clients While Maximizing Your Existing Ones” and “Customer Service: The Unexpected Extras that Make the Difference.”

Montgomery also is the author of “Practice Makes Perfect: The Professional’s Guide to Sales Success,” as well as a soon-to-be-released book titled “Training Wheels,” his website states.

Before launching his career as an independent professional sales trainer, Montgomery served as training director for J.B. Robinson Jewelers, his LinkedIn profile states. He trained more than 1,200 associates in 95 stores during his tenure with the company.

Montgomery’s address on “Building Effective Relationships” will be part of the 26th annual Fast Track 50 dinner and awards program, which takes place at Holiday Inn Express LaMalfa Suites, 5783 Heisley Road in Mentor. Cocktails and networking begin at 5:30 p.m., with the dinner, keynote speech and awards starting at 7.
