Geauga Fresh Farmers Market prevails on Saturdays through Oct. 20 behind South Russell Village Hall on Route 306 at Music Street. Hastings Dairy

Hastings Dairy: Milk from Cow to Bottle tour and tasting is from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Oct. 12 Open house of a working dairy farm and creamery. Tour the dairy; take a wagon ride around the farm, watch the cows milking, and pet the calves. Taste fresh milk bottled onfarm at Rowdy Cow Creamery and purchase your favorite flavor to take home. Kids can enjoy train rides, and indoor and outdoor play areas.

Honey extraction

Fall honey extraction noon to 3 p.m. Oct. 6.

Apiary tours, demonstrat­ions of fall honey extraction. Honey will be available for purchase. The honey extraction demonstrat­ions will be between the hours of noon and 3 p.m. This is a free event held rain or shine at FarmGirl’s Artful Clutter & Such/FarmGirl’s Honey, 8710 Dennison Ashtabula Road, North Bloomfield.

Burton’s traditiona­l ox roast on the village green will include vendors, ox roast sandwiches, a beer tent and polka music.

Dinner and tour

Cavatelli dinner and covered bridge trolley tour 1 to 4 p.m. Oct. 14 at Ferrante Winery and Ristorante, 5585 North River Road West, Geneva

The afternoon begins with a trolley tour to visit select Ashtabula County covered bridges and is followed by a cavatelli dinner at the winery. Tours are hourly between 1 and 4 p.m. and reservatio­ns are required. It always sells out so make reservatio­ns early.

Turkey Trot

On Nov. 4 five Grand River Valley wineries collaborat­e on the Turkey Trot, each serving a dish with wine ideal for Thanksgivi­ng dinner. The progressiv­e tasting takes place from noon to 5 p.m. and can begin at any of the wineries. Participat­ing are Debonne’ Vineyards, Ferrante Winery, Grand River Cellars, Laurello Vineyards, and St. Joseph Vineyards. Cost is $5 at each winery.
