• Lake Erie (0-5, 0-3 GMAC) fell behind, 21-0, in the first quarter on the way to a 55-27 loss to visiting Alderson Broaddus. Javarian Smith threw for 312 yards and two touchdowns for the Storm.

• Mount Union (5-0, 4-0 OAC) won its 20th game in a row, 63-7 over visiting Wilmington. D’Angelo Fulford was 12-for-14 for 198 yards and two touchdowns, and Josh Petruccell­i (Perry) had 80 yards rushing and two touchdowns.

• Host Washington & Jefferson built a 16-point lead in the fourth quarter with two straight touchdowns, and the Presidents handed Case Western Reserve (4-1) its first loss, 44-36. Drew Saxton threw five touchdown passes for the Spartans.

• Kenny Young had two rushing touchdowns and one receiving, Brad Koenig intercepte­d two passes and recovered a fumble, and visiting Miami (Ohio) (2-4, 2-1 MAC) beat Akron (2-2, 0-1), 4117. The RedHawks forced three straight turnovers in the fourth quarter to secure it.

• Nathan Rourke passed for 284 yards and a touchdown and scored on an 8-yard run with 1:28 remaining to rally visiting Ohio (3-2, 1-0 MAC) to a 27-26 victory over Kent State (1-5, 0-2). Justin Rankin carried 16 times for 123 yards for the Golden Flashes.

• Eli Peters threw for three touchdowns, Bryant Koback ran for three scores and host Toledo (3-2, 1-0 MAC) used the fourth quarter to distance itself from visiting Bowling Green (1-5, 0-2), 52-36. It was the Rockets’ ninthstrai­ght win in their series against Bowling Green.

• Freshman Cameron Dicker kicked a 40-yard field goal with nine seconds left to give 19th-ranked Texas (5-1, 3-0 Big 12) a 48-45 victory over No. 7 Oklahoma (5-1, 2-1). Texas won after Kyler Murray rallied Oklahoma with three touchdowns in the fourth quarter.

• N’Kosi Perry threw four touchdown passes, and host No. 17 Miami (5-1, 2-0 ACC) pulled off its biggest comeback ever against Florida State (3-3, 1-3) by rallying from 20 points down to win, 28-27. Brevin Jordan’s 41-yard touchdown grab with just under 12 minutes left put the Hurricanes ahead for good, as Miami rallied from a 27-7 second-half deficit.

• Tua Tagovailoa passed for 334 yards and four touchdowns and visiting No. 1Alabama (6-0, 3-0 SEC) ran its winning streak against Arkansas (1-5, 0-3) to 12, 65-31. It took just one play for Alabama to set the tone as Tagovailoa hit tight end Irv Smith Jr. on a pass across the middle that Smith took 76 yards to the end zone and a 7-0 lead just 21 seconds into the game.

• Travis Etienne rushed for 167 yards and three touchdowns, and visiting No. 3 Clemson (6-0, 3-0 ACC) ran for 471 yards in a 63-3 victory over Wake Forest.

• Lamical Perine scored twice on short runs, including one after a trick play in the fourth quarter, and host No. 22 Florida (5-1, 3-1 SEC) beat No. 5 LSU (5-1, 2-1), 27-19. Brad Stewart’s 25-yard intercepti­on return for a touchdown — the first pick Joe Burrow has thrown this season — essentiall­y sealed the victory for the Gators.

• Dexter Williams ran for three touchdowns, including a 97-yarder, and visiting No. 6 Notre Dame beat No. 24 Virginia Tech, 45-23.

• Shea Patterson threw for a season-high 282 yards and three touchdowns for No. 15 Michigan (5-1, 3-0 Big Ten) in a 42-21 victory over visiting Maryland (3-2, 1-1). The Wolverines fell behind late in the first quarter and didn’t take the lead again until midway through the second quarter. They scored 24 straight points to take control and added another TD and two-point conversion with 6:37 remaining to seal their fifth straight victory.

• Clayton Thorson threw for 373 yards and three touchdowns and visiting Northweste­rn (2-3, 2-1 Big Ten) recovered from another second-half slip to beat Michigan State (3-2, 1-1), 29-19. The Spartans entered with the nation’s top-ranked run defense and held Northweste­rn to 8 yards on the ground, but it didn’t matter.
