Deepwood Foundation selling tickets for dinner
Annual fundraiser includes magicians, fortune tellers, a caricature artist and Deepwood Dancers performance
The Deepwood Foundation announced it is hosting its annual fundraiser on Nov. 2 at LaMalfa in Mentor.
From 6 to 10 p.m., the evening will include magicians, fortune tellers, a caricature artist and a performance from the Deepwood Dancers, according to a news release. Included in the $75 ticket price is a dinner buffet with sushi, salmon, carving and pasta stations, as well as an open bar.
The evening will also have silent auction baskets and concludes with a live auction.
This is the largest annual Deepwood Foundation event and typically hosts 250 guests. The foundation is hoping to raise $75,000 throughout the evening which would be a record high for this event, the release stated.
“We are very fortunate to have such generous local businesses and donors,” said Tana Habat, the interim director of the foundation. “I think one of the most exciting items of the night will be an autographed Mitch Trubisky football.
“The community is very tight knit and I think there will be a lot of interest in this item.”
Also in the live auction will be a trip to Napa Valley and a trip to Orlando with park passes to Disney World, the release stated.
Last year, the Deepwood Foundation was able to raise more than $60,000 which went back to support individuals in Lake County with developmental disabilities, the release stated.
Through fundraisers and donations, the Foundation is able to provide grants for summer camp scholarships, music therapy, adaptive equipment, respite care, adaptive yoga, classroom supplies, orthopedic shoes and more.
To purchase tickets, contact the Deepwood Foundation office at 440-3505233 or email tana.habat@ lakebdd.org. Tickets can also be purchased through Eventbrite.
Tickets must be acquired prior to the event; none will be available for purchase at the event.
