Taste of Geauga off to successful start

Destination Geauga was pleased to host its inaugural Taste of Geauga Nov. 3, at Geauga Park District’s Judge Lester Taylor Lodge in the new Claridon Woodlands.

A fast success, this event featured 12 Geauga County purveyors of fine foods and beverages:

• Blazin Bills, Burton

• Cater 4U, Middlefield

• Elliott’s Country Delights, Middlefield

• Ferroni’s Allegro Bistro & Café, Middlefield

• Hastings Dairy, Burton

• Heritage Meats, Middlefield

• Nauvoo Family Market, Middlefield

• Richards Maple Products, Chardon

• Sages Apples, Chardon

• Sirna’s Pizzeria, Auburn

• Vinny’s Italian Kitchen, Middlefield

• White House Chocolates, Middlefield

Guests enjoyed a delicacy from each vendor, including appetizers, salads, main courses and desserts, before voting for their choice of Taste of Geauga’s Best Bite.’

The winner was Sirna’s Pizzeria of Auburn Township, which featured its braised pork shank served on creamy risotto.
