Thoughts on congressmen, senators

I would like to express my opinion on our congressmen and senators. Just to keep everything in check, I think they should have to make public each of their tax returns every year just to keep things honest. Most come out millionaires.

Also, I believe it would be better if these people could only in office for two terms. This way there would be a constant flow of fresh ideas and younger people making decisions.

I wish these government workers could use the money they pay for all these TV commercials for taking care of wounded veterans or the Humane Society or some other charity.

Years ago they had ads in the paper and now every other commercial is politics on TV and radio and all they do is sling dirt at each other. To me, it is very aggravating. After so many months of listening to this, I don’t care if I vote or not, but I still do.

Too bad the government can’t take better care of the senior citizens. They seem to kick them to the corner when the seniors retire because the government isn’t getting money from them anymore. The seniors are costing the government money. I believe when the congressmen and senators retire, they should have to get their own insurance and hospitalization, not be covered for the rest of their lives. It just doesn’t seem fair.

OK, glad to get that off my chest. Thank God this election is over with for now.
