The eighth annual Euclid Holiday Celebration returns next week, kicking off Nov. 30 at Triangle Park, located in front of the Shore Cultural Centre, 291 E. 222nd St.

The event begins at 6 p.m. and features a variety of activities scheduled to start at the conclusion of the lighting ceremony, including horsedrawn wagon rides, crafts and visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Chris Cipriani, director of programming and marketing at Shore, looks forward to the event every year.

“Of the many events that take place here, this one is truly close to our hearts,” she said. “People of all ages come together to listen to music, make crafts, enjoy activities and take part in a Euclid Holiday tradition.”

A Holiday Church Choir Concert will be held in the auditorium beginning at 7 p.m., and the Holiday Bistro on Shore’s lower level will be serving a wide assortment of foods for dine-in or to go from 5 to 8 p.m.

An ice sculptor will also return to create festive art during the event.

New features and attractions this year are cookie decorating for kids, Family Train Rides and a Polar Slide, said Laura Kidder, the center’s executive director.

“We’re glad to be part of his great city event for the residents of Euclid,” Kidder added. “This family-fun event brings so many smiles on children’s faces and it’s all possible by our generous list of sponsors who make this event happen, plus all the volunteers, like Progressive, who have again put the little elves at Shore. It’s just a magical night for all.”

Admission to the event is free, along with crafts and the majority of the activities and entertainment. Train and wagon rides are $2. The event activities run until 9 p.m.
