The Bombers are in the final four for the first time since 1995. Kenston is 2-0 all-time in state semifinals, winning their semis in both 1986 and 1995. Kenston has won four in a row since a 27-24 loss to Chardon in Week 9. That game was one of two times this season Kenston hasn’t scored 33 or more points. ... The Bombers enter the game averaging 428 yards and 40 points per game. Jack Porter has run for 2,116 yards and 27 touchdowns. QB Jon Tomcufcik has thrown for 2,652 yards and 24 touchdowns against only four interceptions, but he is also a running threat, with 11 touchdown runs to his name this year. His quarterback rating is 175.66. Bransen Stanley (57 catches, 960 yards, nine TDs) and Tyler Mintz (46 catches, 764 yards, 10 TDs) are the leading targets in the passing game . ... On the defensive side of the ball, the Bombers were able to shut down Canfield’s runoriented offense in a 33-7 regional final last week. Linebacker Matt Iklodi (133 tackles, 9 fumble recoveries, four sacks, 15 TFLs) is the heart of the defense. Fellow linebacker Logan Vargo has 127 stops and 11 TFLs. Defensive lineman Tim Matty has 52 stops and 12 TFLs, with Joe Staudenbauer leading the team with seven sacks. Eastmoor has a fast and athletic offense, so once again the Kenston defense is going to get put to the test. Only two Bombers play both ways, compared to seven for Eastmoor, so attrition could come into play.

Eastmoor has won 10 in a row since a Week 3 loss to Westerville Central, 55-24. The Warriors have a fast-paced, athletic offense that averages 41.5 point per game. They’ve had a few close games in the postseason, though . ... Offensively, senior running back Savon Edwards ran for 131 yards and three touchdowns in the regional final against Thornville Sheridan, but aggravated a shoulder injury in the third quarter and did not return. He has run for 1,644 yards and 33 touchdowns this year. Miicah Coleman is a very good replacement. QB Marquise Laster threw for 19 TDs and only two interceptions in the regular season. He takes care of the ball. The line is anchored by 6-3, 255-pound senior Josh Warren . ... Eastmoor’s defense held Sheridan to 74 yards passing with only seven completions. Coleman is a player to keep an eye on – he is a hybrid safetylinebacker that can play in pass coverage or in the run game . ... The book on Eastmoor is it plays fast and from sideline to sideline and end zone to end zone. Both teams run a no-huddle type of offense, so this game could be at a frantic pace.
