Offense

The redshirt sophomore quarterback completed 19 of 30 passes for 318 yards and five touchdowns. He now has 4,130 yards of total offense this year, breaking J.T. Barrett’s former record of 3,851 yards.

The Buckeyes hung 62 points and 567 yards of offense on the nation’s top defense. They averaged 6.7 yards per carry on the ground, and Haskins was not sacked. The line has its best game of the season.

The senior receiver had five catches for 114 yards, as well as one run for 78 yards and a touchdown. His 78-yard run came after a Michigan score in the fourth quarter and basically stole the momentum for good for his team.

Defense

The junior linebacker had his most impactful game of the year, maybe of his career. He had seven tackles, a sack and two TFLs.

The redshirt sophomore had 10 tackles and was instrumental in the run defense that held Michigan 161 yards on four carries.

Special teams

The true freshman receiver blocked a punt that was caught in mid-air by Sevyn Banks and returned for a touchdown in a major momentum swing for the Buckeyes. Olave, who burst onto the scene in recent weeks, also had two catches for 48 yards, both going for touchdowns. A memorable comingout party for the young receiver.

The sophomore kicker made two 19-yard field goals, but was more integral on kickoffs, with three touchbacks and a handful of others deep in play that the Wolverines tried to return.

Local Bucks

The redshirt sophomore started at tight end and caught two passes for 16 yards. He was integral in OSU’s running game as a blocker.
