Rodley V. Nichols, John Cross, Margaret L. (Oresko) Zampini, Judge Gary Wayne Herman

Rodley V. Nichols, age 87 of Painesville passed away December 12, 2018 at Grand River Health and Rehab Center in Painesville. He was born on August 25, 1931 in Oberlin to the late Russell and Katherine (Grande) Nichols.

Rodley Nichols was retired from General Electric as a Packaging Engineer. He enjoyed sports of all kinds, especially the Browns, and also enjoyed animals, listening to music, gardening and loved spending time with his family. His Christmas wish was to be with his wife Ila who passed away in 2006. He and Ila are now “together forever .”

Rod is survived by his children: Pamela (Michael) O’Leary, Lois (Richard) Biagiola, David Nichols, Jeffery (Wanda) Nichols and Scott (Terri) Nichols. He also leaves 13 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Ila (Holman).

Rodley’s family will receive friends Wednesday, December19 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home, 368 Mentor Avenue (opposite Lake Erie College), Painesville. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staff of Grand River Health and Rehab for the wonderful and loving care they gave their father, grandfather and great grandfather.
