New Year’s Eve around Northeast Ohio offers different kinds of fun. Whether you’re looking for a memorable party affair or something musical, there are plenty of events catering to all tastes.

Here are a few notable celebrations:

• If a black-tie affair is more your style, consider the Cleveland Pops Orchestra led by conductor Carl Topilow at Severance Hall.

This year, actor Erich Bergen, who appeared on Broadway and can be seen in CBS drama “Madam Secretary,” will be singing songs from television and film.

After a “fabulous” balloon drop, the celebration continues into 2019 with pop and rock bands providing after-concert dancing.

Tickets are $57 to $137. Visit clevelandorchestra.com.

• The Music Box Supper Club has an entire day of New Year’s Eve fun planned beginning with a Noon Year’s Eve Motown Brunch day followed by evening festivities: an ‘80s & More Dance Party with The Sunrise Jones in the Concert Hall, as well as Steely Dan Tribute The FM Project in the Supper Club.

Ticket prices vary per event. Visit musicboxcle.com/newyears-eve.

• There’s nothing wrong with laughing your way into 2019.

That’s what Hilarities 4th Street Theatre has planned with comedian Ian Bagg on New Year’s Eve.

Tickets are $25 or more for the full New Year’s Eve party package that includes food and fun in the Cabaret. Visit pickwickandfrolic.com.

• Want to take your loved one a New Year’s Eve cruise?

The Nautica Queen is the perfect choice this year taking partygoers on Lake Erie for a scenic affair. The gala cruise includes a DJ and dancing.

Tickets are $84. Visit nauticaqueen.com.

• For those families with little kids, the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo once again comes through with “Zoo Noon Year’s Eve.”

From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Dec. 31, the zoo rings in the New Year with a ball drop at noon, as well as music, dancing and crafts.

Tickets are $25. Visit clevelandmetroparks.com.
