Denison University

The following students were among 418 named to Denison University’s 2018 fall semester dean’s list by Provost Kim Coplin. “Denison students thrive as they learn new modes of thought and are challenged to see the world in complex ways by faculty who share their own personal enthusiasm for research and scholarship,” says Coplin.

Undergraduate students in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, the College of Engineering, and the Tippie College of Business who achieve a grade point average of 3.50 or higher on 12 semester hours or more of UI graded course work during a given semester or summer session and who have no semester hours of I (incomplete) or O (no grade reported) during the same semester are recognized by inclusion on the Dean’s List for that semester.

Cedarville University

The following area Cedarville University students were named to Dean’s Honor List for Fall 2018. In order to be named to the Dean’s Honor List, students need to maintain a 3.75 GPA and carry a minimum of 12 credit hours.

Ashland University

Samantha Stutzman of Chardon, is a member of the Public Relations Student Society of America at Ashland University.

Stutzman, a senior, is majoring in health and risk communication.

Stutzman is a 2015 graduate of Lake Catholic High School.

She is the vice president of the Public Relations Student Society of America.

Northeastern University

recognized Northeastern those University students who distinguish themselves academically during the course of the school year. Among those students is Willoughby Hills resident Tara Kelly. Kelly, a Northeastern University student majoring in International Business, was recently named to the University’s dean’s list for the fall semester, which ended in December 2018.

To achieve the dean’s list distinction, students must carry a full program of at least four courses, have a quality point average of 3.5 or greater out of a possible 4.0 and carry no single grade lower than a C- during the course of their college career. Each student receives a letter of commendation and congratulation from their college dean.

Charleston Southern

Charleston Southern University has named Rachel Flynn Smith of Euclid to the Dean’s List for the fall 2018 semester.

Smith is a senior majoring in Kinesiology: Clinical Emphasis.

Students named to Charleston Southern’s Dean’s List earned a 3.5 GPA or better and earned 12 or more credit hours for the semester.
