For the record: The Cardinals don’t have a winning record, but their strength of schedule in the GCC compared to that of Lakeside should be a deciding factor. Brooke Hickman, Carolyn Wochele et al should advance here.

What: Division I sectional semifinal When: Feb. 16, 1 p.m. Records: Riverside 2-20, Madison 9-13 On deck: Winner will play (2) Euclid at 7 p.m. on Feb. 21 for a sectional championsh­ip

For the record: Madison won both regular-season games, one by six and the other by one point in overtime. So this is going to be a close one. Madison freshmen Riley Montagner (15.9 points) and Elizabeth Bottar (9.5) lead the team. For Riverside, the leader is freshman Amanda Kolar (10.9).

For the record: The Rebels are 6-16, but are vastly improved over last season. They have good scoring balance with Emma Woolnough (9.2), Mya Matriano (8.5) and others.

What: Division II sectional semifinal When: Feb. 16, 1 p.m. Records: Hawken 8-14 On deck: Winner will play (1) Perry at 7 p.m. on Feb. 21 for a sectional championsh­ip

For the record: The Hawks are led by Zaria Johnson (8.5 points). Erica Emig is a strong shooter with 22 3-pointers. Glenville’s strength of schedule could be a difference-maker here.

(10) VASJ at (7) Lake Catholic

What: Division II sectional semifinal When: Feb. 16, 1 p.m. Records: VASJ 5-15, Lake Catholic 8-12 On deck: Winner will play (2) Gilmour at 7 p.m. on Feb. 21 for a sectional championsh­ip

For the record: These two North Coast League squads met up less than a week ago, and the Cougars came out on top, 56-54, in overtime. This could go either way based on that game.
