Library prepares for Dinner in the Stacks fundraiser
Madison Public Library’s seventh annual Dinner in the Stacks fundraiser will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., March 16 at the library, 6111 Middle Ridge Road.
Tables will be set up all around the library, and for $10 per person there will be food — pasta, meatballs, salad and rolls — provided by Upscale Eats plus coffee and pop. Attendees can bring their own alcohol if they wish, according to a news release.
Desserts made by area cooks and members of Friends of Madison Library will be available for purchase.
Music will be provided by singer and jazz saxophonist Stan Miller.
Tickets will be sold for a basket auction through 7 p.m. There also will be a 50/50 raffle.
All proceeds go to Friends of Madison Public Library who support the library by providing funding for programming, the homebound delivery service, summer reading, and many extras at the library, the release stated.
Tickets are on sale at the library.
Tickets also will be sold at the door, and takeout orders will be available. The library will be cele- brating its 100th birthday on April 26. Upcoming events at the library also include a 1970s-inspired Family Fondue and Disco Dance at 6 p.m., March 7, and an Antiques Roadshow at 7 p.m., March 21, where a regional antiques specialist will value items people bring in.
Registration is required for the dance at 440-4282189 or online at www. madison-library.info.
