Leona M. Lawson

Leona M. Lawson, age 95, of Perry, OH, and formerly of Scottsburg, IN, passed away on March 7, 2019, in Perry.

She was born on July 20, 1923, in Underwood, IN, to parents, Grant Miskell and Lura Elizabeth Collings Miskell. She retired from U.S. Soil Conservation. She was married to Vaughn W. Lawson. Survivors include her daughters, Yvonne Alenn and husband, Harry, Sharon Trimble and husband, Charlie; eight grandchildren, Harry Lee Allen III and wife, Christy; David Allen and wife, Cindy, Andrea Morris and husband, Greg, Stephen Allen and wife, Lyndsay, Steve Thomas and wife, Eden, Scott Thomas, Jeff Thomas and wife, Shawna, Brandy McCoid and husband, Jim; 25 great-grandchildren, Natalie, Quinn, Evelyn, Abrielle, Allen, Andrew, Lura, Noah, Chloe, Holden, Maddux, Adeline, Kevin, Nathan, Eric, Elliana, Camden, Benson, Savannah, Brody, Maverick, Clara, William, Adela, and Jack.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Kevin; brothers, Bob and Gene Miskell; stepmother, Ruby.

Graveside service was held on Monday, March 11, 2019, with burial at Scottsburg Cemetery.
