ODOT to host public meeting to discuss intersecti­on improvemen­ts

The Ohio Department of Transporta­tion recently announced it will be hosting a public meeting April 17 to present informatio­n and get feedback from the public regarding proposed improvemen­ts to the intersecti­on of Route 322 (Mayfield Road) and Auburn Road within Munson Township.

The proposed project includes the constructi­on of left turn lanes on all approaches and traffic signal replacemen­t, according to a news release.

The meeting will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. at Munson Township Hall, 12210 Auburn Road.

There will be a presentati­on starting at 6:30 p.m. by the project team with an opportunit­y to ask questions, followed immediatel­y by an open house. At the meeting, attendees will be able to review and comment on the proposed project plans and the environmen­tal impacts, the release stated.

The project representa­tives from ODOT and the engineerin­g consultant­s will be available throughout the open house to answer questions.

ODOT also requests informatio­n regarding the presence of any known cultural resources near the project, the release stated. Cultural resources include prehistori­c and historic archaeolog­ical sites, historic bridges, historic buildings, sites and districts.

The environmen­tal review, consultati­on, and other actions required by applicable Federal environmen­tal laws for this project are being, or have been, carried-out by ODOT.
