Lake County’s new hockey team this week will host the Lake County Visitors Bureau’s Phase 2 promotion.

Lake County’s new hockey team this week will host the Lake County Visitors Bureau’s Phase 2 promotion dubbed “Remarkable Lake County, OH” during Remarkable Lake County Night with the Mentor Ice Breakers.

Remarkable Lake County, OH is a brand of the Lake County Visitors Bureau, a nonprofit based in Painesville dedicated to developing and promoting tourism experiences within Lake County.

During the March 22 event, the organization’s branding campaign will be announced, which includes a new website, radio commercials, Facebook and Instagram postings, and more.

“The Visitors Bureau has been working with the Ice Breakers to promote their inaugural season, and it has been a lot of fun,” said Scott Dockus, executive director of the Visitors Bureau. “Throughout the season we’ve partnered with the Ice Breakers to give away homegame tickets, so when we discussed where we should hold our branding event the choice was clear.”

Jennifer Bryniarski, director of marketing for the Ice Breakers, said it’s been great to work with Diana Maliqi, the agency’s digital content manager.

“I could not be more proud than to host Remarkable Lake County Night with the bureau,” Bryniarski added. “Each week Diana creates promotions and contests on Instagram or Facebook, so the word is really getting out about our new team.

“To make this event even more exciting, the Visitors Bureau teamed up with Mark Allen of MIX 97.1 to host the event. We will have prizes, giveaways and a Tshirt toss,” Bryniarski said. “Join us after the game for an open skate where children of all ages can skate with the team.”

Remarkable Lake County Night with the Mentor Ice Breakers kicks off at the Mentor Civic Ice Arena at 6:35 p.m. The puck drops at 7:35.

General admission tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for children ages 5-12.
