Chardon Community Action Team sets the date for their Car and Motorcycle Show

- Staff report

The Chardon Community Action Team has announced a Car and Motorcycle Show will return Aug. 18 for a 20th year.

It will take place from noon to 4 p.m on Chardon Square.

The band “Legacy” will be playing music from the 1960s, ‘70s, and ‘80s throughout the event.

In addition to cars and motorcycles on display, there will be a bake sale by the Fraternal Order of Eagles’ Ladies Auxiliary, a Chinese auction, and a 50/50 raffle.

Breakfast and lunch will be served by the Hunger Squad from their food truck and there will be some sweet treats provided by The i Scream Truck.

“When the Chardon Community Action Team started the Annual Car and Motorcycle Show 20 years ago, we wanted to create a fun family event on the Chardon Square,” said the show’s chairman, Matt Petersen, in a news release. “There is no better way for the whole family to have a good time while helping to support a group focused on keeping youth drug free.”

All money raised will be used to support the mission of CCAT to lower the use of tobacco, alcohol, and drugs in our youth through education and community events for youth and their families, the release stated.

Registrations are still being accepted for cars and motorcycles until 1 p.m. the day of the show for all makes and models of cars and motorcycles, which will be professionally judged. For more information about the day or to register a car or motorcycle, visit www.chardoncommunityactionteam.org or call 440537-7316.
