Live Well Willoughby readies for summer
Vendors and sponsors sought
Live Well Willoughby is beginning their search for sponsors and vendors as they prepare to host their third annual health and wellness event this summer on June 13.
Live Well Willoughby is a health and wellness initiative that works to encourage and educate the community on related issues. The annual event brings people together for handson activities, fitness classes, food, music, and speakers throughout the day.
Chad Gourley organized the first Live Well Willoughby event in 2018 to give people an opportunity to see the health and wellness options that are available across Northeast Ohio area.
“Our purpose is essentially to inspire, engage and educate people about different things that can improve their health,” Gourley said.
This year’s event will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Wes Point Park in Willoughby.
“We look for all health and wellness related vendors,” Gourley said.
“So, that might be on the physical fitness side of things, there’s nutrition and mental and emotional health. Even things like environmental health and also going into things like financial well being. All of that played a role in our overall health.”
In previous years vendors from places such as Lake County General Health District, Achilles Running Shop and Laketran have come out alongside sponsors like and sponsors have included businesses like Lake Health, Heinen’s Grocery Store and the city of Willoughby. Some even double as both vendors and sponsors.
“I think last year we ended up having a total of about 50 sponsors last year and they’ve been able to encompass all the different areas of health.” Gourley said.
He said those who sign up to be vendors and sponsors are able to engage with an audience interested in learning about what they have to offer and align their brands with the Live Well Willoughby message.
Aside from vendors and sponsors, Gourley said he hopes people who attend the event are able to have a good time there and find wellness options that work for them.
“Even just hearing someone say that they’re taking this first step and that this event is their first time ever doing yoga is exciting. Anything to help people continue to live a healthier life,” he said.
