Mentor to host Ohio Bioscience Career Fair

Event aims to match job-seekers with biomedical employers

Company representatives from across Northeast Ohio will converge in Mentor this month for the event.

Company representatives from across Northeast Ohio will converge in Mentor this month for the Ohio BioScience Career Fair.

The event is from 2 to 5 p.m., Feb. 27 at Mentor Ice Arena.

Hosted by BioOhio and the city, this event is designed to match job-seekers with Ohio’s growing biomedical organizations and features top employers in the biotech, pharmaceutical, R&D and medical device industries.

“The Ohio BioScience Career Fair is a phenomenal opportunity for those seeking employment in our growing regional biomedical ecosystem to meet with employers and players within the industry faceto-face,” said Mentor Economic

Development Director Kevin Malecek.

BioOhio is the lead organization for the bioscience community and the Ohio affiliate for global bioscience associations AdvaMed, BIO, MDMA and PhRMA, and represents 300-plus member organizations and individuals employing more than 100,000 Ohioans, according to a news release.

The organization is also a key strategic partner of the city in its initiative to drive a biohealth economy in the area.
