Fairport library hosts cake walk

The public is invited to enter the Cake Walk Contest at Fairport Harbor Public Library to be held Feb. 23 .

There is no registration fee, however, participants must borrow a library cake pan to enter the contest.

A minimum of five cakes are required for the event to take place Submit a registration by Feb. 15 by calling 440-354-8191, emailing fh-main@fairport.lib.oh.us, responding to the library’s Facebook Cake Walk Event, or stopping in the library and signing up in person.

Cakes may be delivered to the library Feb. 22 between noon and 5 p.m. or Feb. 23 no later than 2 p.m. Only one cake per participant.

Doors open at 2 p.m., and the Cakewalk begins at 2:30. Participants 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Those who want to join the cake walk but don’t want to bake can make a suggested $3 donation at the door to the Friends of the Library.
