Homeless shelter to benefit from concert
A benefit concert for a Lake County homeless shelter will be March 8, at St. Noel Church in Willoughby Hills.
A benefit concert for a Lake County homeless shelter will take place at 4 p.m., March 8, at St. Noel Church, 35200 Chardon Road in Willoughby Hills.
The Choir of Hope directed by Agnieszka Bieniek and the Lithuanian Choir Exultate directed by Rita Cyvas-Kliorys will present “Gabriel Fauré and Friends” with soloists Gabriela Martinez and Nikola Budimir and chamber orchestra.
In Part I you will hear compositions of Gabriel
Fauré, Ola Gjeilo, and Claude Debussy, and in Part II, Gabriel Fauré’s famous and beautiful Requiem in D minor Op. 48.
The concert is free and open to the public. A freewill offering will be collected, with 100 percent of proceeds going to support the shelter run by Project Hope for the Homeless, according to a news release.
A small reception will be served in the narthex after the concert.
For those unable to come to the concert, monetary donations — with check made payable to St. Noel with Project Hope in Memo line — or needed items can be donated until March 8 in the narthex at St. Noel church.
Items needed include gift cards to Giant Eagle, Walmart, and gas stations ($5 and $10 value only); large-size shampoo, hair conditioner and body wash; bath towels (new or gently used), 1-gallon zip-loc bags; 13- and 30-gallon garbage bags; coffee (regular and decaf); 8- to 12-ounce cold/ hot cups.
