Painesville man indicted in October 2019 shooting
A Painesville man accused in an October 2019 shooting in the city was arraigned in Lake County Common Pleas Court following his indictment by the Lake County grand jury.
Brandon Lee Noble, 24, was arrested in January following a months-long search by Painesville police and the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force.
Noble is accused of sending a 24-year-old man to the hospital after a shooting Oct. 12 in the 500 block of Lawnview Avenue.
Officers found the victim with an apparent gunshot wound to the abdomen, according to a news release at the time. The victim was taken to TriPoint Medical Center before being transferred to Cleveland MetroHealth Medical Center.
The Lake County grand jury indicted Noble earlier this month on six counts related to the shooting. Noble is charged with firstdegree felony attempted murder, two counts of second-degree felony felonious assault, two counts of fourth-degree felony carrying a concealed weapon and one count of fourthsdegree felony having a weapon under disability.
Painesville police identified Noble as the suspect early on in the investigation and his Jan. 23 arrest was the “culmination of a lengthy investigation by the members of the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force,” city officials stated in a news release.
Noble’s bond was continued at his arraignment hearing at $10 million with a 10 percent option, which has not been posted.
Lake County Common Pleas Court Judge John P. O’Donnell is assigned Noble’s case.
