Lake County Common Pleas Court Judge John P. O’Donnell has found Painesville resident Brandon Lee Noble Guilty on all counts, including attempted murder, stemming from an October shooting in the city.

Noble, 23, was arrested in January in connection to the shooting. Following his arrest he was indicted by a Lake County grand jury on first-degree felony attempted murder, two counts of second-degree felony felonious assault, one count of third-degree felony having a weapon under disability, and two counts of fourth-degree felony carrying a concealed weapon.

The charges stem from an Oct. 12 shooting in the 500 block of Lawnview Avenue. Painesville police officers found the 24-year-old victim with an apparent gunshot wound to the abdomen, according to a news release at the time. The victim was taken to TriPoint Medical Center before being transferred to Cleveland MetroHealth Medical Center.

Painesville police and the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Noble Jan.

23. Painesville police stated they identified Noble as a suspect in the case early on and his arrest was “culmination of a lengthy investigation by the members of the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force.”

Noble waived his right to a jury trial and instead had a bench trial before O’Donnell. The judge found Noble guilty on all counts including firearm and repeat violent offender specifications on the attempted murder and felonious assault charges.

O’Donnell will sentence Noble on June 3.
