Sequoia Realty Corp. is one Mentor business that has kept busy during the coronavirus quarantine.

Owner/President Rick Ferris relocated the longtime Mentor Avenue office next to Clean Eatz in Sequoia’s Heisley Pointe Plaza and has added hand-sanitizing stations at Points East shopping center to welcome back shoppers.

In addition, Sequoia secured another tenant at Heisley Pointe. Beyond Juicery + Eatery will make its northern Ohio debut in 2020 at the Mentor location in 2,100 square feet next to the new Starbucks.

“They plan to start construction soon and open in October,” Sequoia Property Manager Robyn Liberatore said. “That leaves us with only one unit available, consisting of 2,100 square feet.”

Beyond Juicery + Eatery has an area development agreement for 20 sites in Northern Ohio.

“We have leases executed for five spaces currently projected to open in 2020, the first being in Downtown Cleveland on Euclid Avenue,” said Eric Engelke, a partner in Brunswick-based Three 30 Ventures LLC.

“Our group felt the Heisley Pointe location is a fantastic central location for the vibrant Mentor community,” he added.

The chain, which originated in Detroit, Michigan, serves smoothies and wraps, and has developed a “cult following,” according to Engelke.

“Our group is very excited to bring this brand to Northern Ohio,” Engelke said.

“We are excited to show Ohio what Beyond Juicery + Eatery has to offer.”

New beginnings

Sequoia Realty used to be located at 7464 Mentor Ave., just east of Route 306. Its new space previously was occupied by Top Dollar Gold & Silver, which closed a few years ago.

“After 25 years, Rick decided to move, and we now get to enjoy Starbucks and all the great food tenants at our doorstep,” Liberatore said.

The hand sanitizer stations were added along the walkways at Points East to provide easy access in a less-crowded setting.

The center is home to Marc’s, Marshalls, Old Navy, DSW, The Tile Shop and Panera.

“We hope these will be a great safety convenience while people enjoy the outdoor patios and retailers at the shopping center,” she said.
