With the outdoor season being canceled by the novel coronavirus pandemic like the rest of the sports world, college track and field could only muster the bulk of the indoor campaign to suffice for this 2019-20 school year.
In a nod to News-Herald coverage area athletes who were unable to get a shot at an outdoor campaign, here is a look at standout performances earlier this year during indoor season.
This is not intended to be a complete list of all 155 athletes who were on college track and field teams’ rosters across the country in NCAA and NAIA this year, but rather a look at selected standout performances: fourth in high jump at the Bucknell Tune-Up.
