Mayfield Village extends building closures, cancels some summer events

Mayfield Village announced it has extended its building closures and suspension of all non-essential and in-person meetings through July 1 plus it has cancelled several summer events and activities

International Day of Yoga Day on June 21 has been cancelled as have the July 4th Fireworks scheduled for June 27, according to a news release.

Red Cross Blood Drives will continue to be scheduled at the Mayfield Village Civic Center. Upcoming Blood Drives are scheduled for July 2, and July 15 from 2 to 6:30 p.m. Appointments are required and can be made at www. redcrossblood.org or by calling 800-REDCROSS.

The Civic Center and Community Room will remain closed to the public through July 1. All Village Departments remain operational, with some office employees continuing to work from home during this period, the release stated. All calls and e-mails will continue to be answered. The Community Room and all pavilions will also remain closed to private rentals through July 1. Full refunds will be issued for all cancelled rentals.

Parkview Pool will open on June 18, subject to all mandatory procedures and best practices set forth in the ResponsibleRestart Ohio guidelines, the release stated.

Admission will be limited to Mayfield Village residents only and other restrictions will apply. Details will be posted on the village website.

All concerts scheduled at The Grove and the Gazebo are cancelled for the 2020 season.

Most Recreational and Senior programs will remain cancelled during this period. Check the website for updates on activities that are permitted to resume.

Village tennis courts and bocce courts will open on June 15, subject to posted guidelines and restrictions.

The Greenway Trail remains open for walking, running and biking. Users are asked to follow all CDC guidelines.

All table, chair and tool rentals and deliveries by the Service Department are suspended until further notice.

The Village Council meeting scheduled for June 15 at 7 p.m. will be held remotely, via electronic means, and will be made available for viewing by the public. Commissions, boards and committees that must meet to conduct business will continue to do so remotely and all meetings will be made available for viewing by the public, the release stated.

Weekly trash and recycling pickup remain on the normal schedule and all previously- imposed limitations have been removed. Simple Recycling has also resumed pickup of soft recyclables on its normal schedule.
