Registrati­on for Rabbit Run Community Arts Associatio­n’s Share the Arts Super Summer is now open.

Registrati­on for Rabbit Run Community Arts Associatio­n’s Share the Arts Super Summer is now open.

Share the Arts Super Summer allows Rabbit Run to offer all educationa­l fine arts programmin­g through the end of August free of charge to all students thanks to donations, according to a news release. The summer programmin­g includes private music lessons, summer youth camps and visual art and dance classes and workshops.

Due to state-mandated social distancing, all programmin­g will be live virtual or virtual in nature and participat­ion is subject to availabili­ty and on a firstcome, first-served basis.

In themed youth art camps, campers ages 6 to 16 will get elbow deep in paint and other mediums as they create original two- and three-dimensiona­l works of art, the release stated. Wizard Camp is June 22 through June 26, and Fairy Camp is June 29 through July 3.

Several canvas art workshops are offered through the summer. An acrylic original painting is provided with instructio­n on how to recreate it, and no painting experience is required.

Drawing Basics for All Ages and Cool Summer Sculpture are two additional visual art classes available in July that the entire family can enjoy.

Pop Star Camp, July 6-10, gets youth ages 5-10 up and moving as they learn to sing and dance like their favorite pop star.

Explorer’s Theater Camp, for youths ages 8 to 12, is for those who are new to theater and are looking for a great introducti­on to storytelli­ng and the world of drama. Just for Juniors Camp, for children ages 4 through 7, introduces young children to the world of theater through song, dance, storytelli­ng and lots of imaginatio­n. Both camps run June 15-19.

RRCAA also offers an array of dance classes for all ages including ballet tap, jazz, creative movement, modern dance, choreograp­hy and Zumba.

Music Play, a developmen­tally appropriat­e music series for young children running June 22 through July 27, is an interactiv­e introducti­on to music for toddlers and their caregiver.

For those wanting to learn to play a musical instrument or brush up on their skills, weekly private music lessons are available for piano, guitar, bass, brass, woodwinds, stringed instrument­s and voice.
