Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers increases in-person options
Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers announced it is implementing Phase II Return to Work which allows for inperson intakes and assessments which were temporarily converted to telehealth.
“As we begin conducting in-person intakes and assessment again we’ve given careful consideration to preparation and planning for our outpatient offices as the health and safety of staff and clients is our number one priority,” the organization said in a news release.
The following will be included in the Phase II rollout:
• All intakes will be conducted in person
• All assessments will be conducted in person
• Drug testing will be resumed
• Individual counseling will be offered in person or telehealth
• Clients will not be permitted to have children, family or significant others accompany them to their intake
• All clients are required to wear a mask, scarf or some face covering at all times while in the outpatient offices. Walk-in intake hours are: • Mentor: Mondays 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Wednesdays 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Fridays 8 a.m to 3 p.m.
• Painesville: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

“We recognize that much has changed for many people and families, particularly for those in recovery, as the result of COVID-19,” President and CEO Melanie Blasko, said in the release. “We know that these changes can feel overwhelming and stressful. It’s normal to feel that way but know that Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers is here to help you navigate this uncertain time and stay focused on your health and recovery.
“Now, as stay-at-home orders are expiring across the state, and many of us are eager to get back to our normal activities, we can safely rollout Phase II which will allow for all intakes and assessments to be conducted in person.”
