Madison library to open June 15

The Madison Public Library will begin the third phase of its reopening plan June 15 as it works to restore library services and reopen the building to the public, according to a news release.

Hours at the library at 6111 Middle Ridge Road in Madison Township, will be 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday (at-risk individual­s 10-11 a.m.); noon to 7 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday (atrisk individual­s 12-1 p.m.)

Curbside delivery and library valet services will continue. Home delivery services also will be added for at-risk patrons.

Among the changes detailed in the release:

Patrons returning library materials must use book drops in the front foyer before entering the library. Returned materials will undergo a 72hour quarantine before being returned to shelves.

Staff will provide hand sanitizer at the front doors. The library recommends patrons wear face coverings and will have disposable masks available. A maximum of 40 patrons at a time will be allowed in the library. Patrons younger than 15 must be accompanie­d by an adult.

Tri-C announces leadership team

The Cuyahoga Community College Foundation announced its 2020-2021 leadership team.

Louis G. Joseph, president and CEO of The Brewer-Garrett Company, was appointed chairperso­n, according to a news release.

Other Foundation board officer appointmen­ts include: Vice chairperso­ns: James B. Aronoff, partner, Thompson Hine LLP; Bernie Moreno, chairman, Ownum; and Lorna Wisham, vice president, corporate affairs and community involvemen­t, FirstEnerg­y.

Secretary: Katherine T. O’Neill, community leader

Treasurer and vice chairperso­n: Gregory J. Skoda, senior partner, Marcum LLP President: Megan O’Bryan, vice president of resource developmen­t, Tri-C.

After months of planning, the Leroy Bicentenni­al Committee has had to postpone their bicentenni­al festival until June 19, 2021.

However, not everything is postponed. Raffle tickets for a giant gift basket filled with items and gift cards worth more than $1,400 are being sold for $5 each. The drawing will take place June 21.
