W-E Library holding reading program

The Willoughby-Eastlake Public Library announced that this year’s virtual Summer Reading Program is now underway.

With this year’s theme being “Imagine your Story,” the program is currently underway and runs through Aug. 1.

This year, the library is using Beanstack, a new web-based Summer Reading Management software. It allows patrons to track their reading as well as discover the virtual programs and events the library currently has to offer, according to a news release.

Summer reading programs encourage children to continue reading, learning and using their imagination while on summer break. Maintaining their reading skills can also help to prevent the “summer slide,” the release stated.

This program is open to all ages.

Children will earn raffle tickets for every seven days they track their reading. They can also earn tickets for attending virtual library programs.

Prizes include Target gift cards, books, admission passes to the Greater Cleveland Aquarium, Cleveland Cavalier swag bags and more.

Teens and adults can also earn badges and be entered to win Amazon gift cards.

For more information or to sign up, visit www. WE247.org or download the Beanstack app.
