Chardon cancels concerts, events

The City of Chardon has announced the decision to cancel the remaining 2020 concert-in-the-park series and National Night Out event, scheduled for Aug. 4.

“This difficult decision was made in consultation with the Geauga Department of Health due to the continued outbreak of the coronavirus and the continuation of the order issued by the State Department of Health and Governor DeWine around mass gatherings and events, as well as concern for the overall health and safety of our community,” the city stated in a news release

The city noted that Chardon Square remains open for everyone to enjoy with room to social distance and sanitizing stations available.
