Euclid struggled to get its offense going against Brunswick in a 14-7 win. The Panthers will need to ramp that up in a Week 2 game against visiting Mentor . ... Kirtland crushed Lake Catholic, 31-15. Lake had less than 100 yards offense prior to the fourth quarter. That Kirtland defense is smothering . ... Chardon was as advertised in its opening win over North — hard-nosed, physical and dominating.
