Tractor Supply Co. is preparing to fill the space once belonging to Pat Catan’s on Mentor Avenue in Painesville.
Tractor Supply Co. is preparing to fill the space once belonging to Pat Catan’s on Mentor Avenue in Painesville.
The building located at 1625 Mentor Ave. is a part of W.R Newman General Contractors initiative to add Tractor Supplies across the country, said general contractor Ken Mack.
“They do about 15 Tractor Supplies a year throughout the country,” he said.
Mack said the process at the existing 30,000-squarefoot Pat Catan’s building resulted in an entire renovation.
“Walls came down, walls came up,” Mack said. “It’s a complete remodel.”
District Manager Ethan Mayer said the business will look to provide the Painesville community and surrounding communities with many benefits.
“We have a wide range of products,” he said. “We have to provide the community with additional resources to really fit their needs and their lifestyles.”
Mayer said that Oct. 10 will be a soft opening date and the grand opening date will be announced in the upcoming weeks. When the new business opens, he said that the company wants to focus on the needs of the community members.
“We want to be involved with the community,” Mayer said. “We want to be a part of the community. We really want to embrace local events. We pride ourselves on doing whatever it takes to take care of the community.”
Tractor Supply will take into consideration the impact of the novel coronavirus and Mayer said the business will provide features for customers such as contactless deliveries where they can call upon arrival and have their products brought to their car.
“We’re going to provide the best and safest shopping experience possible,” he said. “Customers can pull right up. We’ve got two parking spots allocated for those services.”
Mayer also said the business will provide same-day and next-day delivery services.
Mayer said the business is currently looking for employees for the new location and applicants can apply at tractorsupply.jobs.
“We are currently in the process of filling positions,” Mayer said. “We would like to support the local community and provide a number of those jobs. “
