Wine, chocolate walk is November’s Second Saturday
Another Second Saturday is to come to Downtown Willoughby, taking on a wine and chocolate walk theme.
The Second Saturday of November, which will take place Nov. 14 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., will include an opportunity to shop downtown merchants and enjoy the variety of food in local restaurants.
Additional initiatives for November’s Second Saturday include the following:
• Music along the streets coordinated by The Fine Arts Association and the Willoughby Arts Collaborative.
• Pop-up dance performances by the dance teams from The Fine Arts Association.
• Artist vendors who will exhibit and sell art. These artists are being coordinated by Stella’s Art Gallery.
• Wine and chocolate samples that will be available at various locations throughout Downtown Willoughby.
The Willoughby Arts Collaborative is also inviting the community to stop by and create a drawing reflecting Willoughby from 1 to 3 p.m. These creations will be sealed away for future generations in ThenDesign Architecture’s new home at the historic former Junior High building.
Par ticipants in the group sketch are asked to wear a mask, bring their own art supplies, and something to draw and sit on. The collaborative will have paper and pencils for those who want to stop by and sketch, but do not have their own supplies.
There is no fee to participate.
Second Saturday takes place each month and is a partnership with downtown retailers, restaurants and with the collaborative. These groups are working to promote Downtown Willoughby as a place to shop, eat and enjoy art.
