More than just copies
Village Print Shop strives to provide high-quality products and friendly, personal service
The Village Print Shop in Madison prides itself on fulfilling a pledge that appears on a banner inside of its store.
That banner promises to offer customers “More than just copies.”
“We’re a full-service print shop,” said Brittany Johnson, who serves as manager and graphic designer at the business in Madison Village. “We do everything from make a single copy … to vehicle wraps and overhead signs.”
Located at 66 W. Main St., Village Print Shop has worked hard to gain its reputation for providing highquality print, copy and design services at competitive prices, Johnson said. At the same time, the business aims to maintain a “maand-pa” atmosphere that features friendly and personalized customer service.
The Village Print Shop is owned by Dean Bader, who opened the business 14 years ago in downtown Madison to fill a gap in the marketplace for printing services.
“(Bader) took a look around, and said, OK, “There’s print shops i n Mentor and print shops in Ashtabula. Where is the no place where you can go get copies and stuff? Madison. Nothing in Madison,’ “Johnson said.
Over the years, Village Print Shop has received “tons of support” from the local community, Johnson noted. The shop has fulfilled the needs of area businesses, government and safety forces, and residents.
Johnson, who’s worked for the Village Print Shop since 2012, earned a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts,
with a graphic-design focus, from Cleveland State University. She uses her education and experience to turn customers’ ideas into their desired products.
“You can come in and have some scribble on a piece of paper that you’re having a clambake on Oct. 19, and we’ll take that and turn it into a ticket with graphics on it, perforated and numbered, and the whole bit,” she said.
Some of the other products that Village Print Shop can create include business cards, f liers, yard signs, letterhead, wedding invitations, indoor or outdoor banners, decals, wall graphics, magnets and posters.
Looking toward the future, one of Village Print Shop’s major goals is to acquire sophisticated digital printing equipment for cloth, to produce items such as customized T-shirts and
tablecloths.
“That’s what we’re looking to go into next,” she said. For more information
