Bainbridge Twp. business owner faces felony charges

Man accused of engaging in pattern of corrupt activity arraigned

A Bainbridge Township business owner was recently arraigned in Geauga County Common Pleas Court for allegedly using his business to secure loans from an 86-year-old Bainbridge Township man utilizing forged documents.

Mark Hoehn, 68, is also accused of securing additional loans against his business through a series of unauthoriz­ed credit card charges and forged documents that victimized two other area businesses.

Hoehn is the owner of Odyssey Printware, located at 7286 N. Aurora Road in Bainbridge. He is facing first-degree felony engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, first- and seconddegr­ee felony counts of theft of a person from a protected class, three counts of third-degree felony telecommun­ications fraud, and two counts of fourth-degree felony grand theft.

He also faces 28 counts of fifth-degree felony forgery.

Hoehn entered a plea of not guilty during his Nov. 4 arraignmen­t hearing, Geauga County Common Pleas Court records show.

A personal recognizan­ce bond was set for Hoehn.

Conditions of his bond include prohibitio­n from consuming alcohol or drugs, unless prescribed.

He is not to enter bars or places where serving alcohol is a primary source of income. He is subject to random drug and alcohol tests and is prohibited from leaving Ohio without permission of the court.

The case has been assigned to Geauga County Common Pleas Court Judge David M. Ondrey. Court records do not indicate any dates in the case have yet been set.

Hoehn was indicted by a Geauga County grand jury i n October following a three-month investigat­ion by Bainbridge police into numerous financial transactio­ns made by Hoehn through Odyssey Printware.
