City seeks applicants for Electric Committee
The Electric Advisory Committee will function as an advisory body to provide input on the Electric system.
Painesville City Council is seeking applicants for their newly created Painesville Electric Advisory Committee.
The Electric Advisory Committee will function as an advisory body to provide input on the decision-making regarding the Painesville Electric system, according to a news release.
This includes topics such as the purchase of power, financing, operations, improvements and any programs associated with the public power system.
The committee will consist of five voting members and one city council member who serves as a non-voting liaison. Each committee member will have a staggered term limit.
To be eligible, applicants must be an end-user of the Painesville Electric system and be appointed by City Council.
The ideal candidate for the committee should have some experience or education in the fields of engineering, accounting or finance, administration and management, the release stated.
Meetings will be held quarterly in the months of January, April, July and October, with an organizational meeting held every two years to appoint a chairman and vice-chairman of the committee.
