Vincent “Vince” J. Granito Sr.

Vincent “Vince” J. Granito Sr., age 79 of Kirtland, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at his home. He was born on September 17, 1941 to the late Tony and Rose (Piunno) Granito. Vince was a Managing Partner of Galovic & Granito CPA Firm and was one of the founding members of the Italians of American Heritage and President for many years. He also served as President for the Wickliffe JC’s. Vince was nominated and won Citizen of the Year award for the Mentor Chamber of Commerce and was also a member of Mentor Rotary, board member at Lake Metroparks, member of Ohio Horse Council of Lake County, and board member for M.E.C.O. Vince is survived by his wife, Pat (Semple) Granito; sons, Vincent Jr. (Laura), David (Gina), Christopher (Annette), and Matthew,(Nicole); Nicholas Sydney, grandchildren, Amanda, Sara, Andrew, Alyssa, Jordyn, Alexis, Hailey, Sebastian, Gianna, Anastacia, Tyler, Kylie, Isabella, and Sophia; greatgrandchildren, Hayden and Miyah; and brothers, Anthony, Michael, James, and Donald. He was preceded in death by his parents. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m., Monday, March 1, 2021 at the Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, OH 44060. Masks are required and social distancing is encouraged during all publicly attended events. The funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at Divine Word Catholic Church, 8100 Eagle Road, Kirtland, OH 44094.
