Leadership Geauga taking applicants for Class of 2022

Leadership Geauga announced it is now accepting applications for the Signature Adult Class of 2022, which begins in September.

Participation is open to adults of all ages who either live and/or work in Geauga County. Professionals from different disciplines are encouraged to apply as diversity of skills, background and experience ensure a richer experience for everybody, according to a news release.

The deadline for applications is on or before July 1.

Leadership Geauga, which recently celebrated its 25th anniversary, is a leadership development program with activities designed to strengthen each person’s leadership and team skills, as well as highlighting civic engagement for those wishing to expand their network.

Classes offer opportunities to work collectively to have a positive effect on Geauga County, the release stated.

The annual Signature Adult Class begins in September and ends in June the following year. During the 10-month program, activities include site visits, behind-the-scenes tours and interactive programs that provide individuals with a better understanding of community issues and local resources.

Graduates are introduced to organizations, businesses, and government leaders throughout the county who give a perspective on issues and how their sector faces these.

Leadership Geauga also announced it is hosting its annual Taste of Leadership event on May 13, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Geauga Park District’s Holbrook Hollows, 7250 Country Lane in Bainbridge Township.

Guests can enjoy light refreshments, beverages and the camaraderie of Leadership alumni, board and staff, the release stated. Leadership Geauga speakers will share how this rare opportunity will benefit class members to become higher impact leaders at work, on teams, and in the community.
