Madison Community Improvement Corp. serves as administrator of the concert series. MCIC took charge of managing the annual musical program after the former organizer, the Rev. Donna Maruschak, stepped down at the end of the 2020 season.
As the new manager of the event, one of MCIC’s priorities has been to conduct an enhanced fundraising campaign to cover operating costs for the 2021 Madison Concerts in the Park.
“We are still accepting donations from anybody who feels the urge,” said Bailey, who also is an MCIC board member. “(The donations) are tax-deductible.”
Bailey said he’s pleased with the variety of performers this year.
