CHARDON>>GIRLS LACROSSE SENIOR>>MIDFIELD/DRAW SPECIALIST
On the field: Against Laurel, had nine goals and 15draw controls. Against Riverside, had five goals and five draw controls.
Off the field: Is committed to the College of Wooster to play lacrosse. Also plays soccer. Lacrosse has been her main sport since she started playing in fourth grade. She began playing travel lacrosse in eighth grade and competed in tournaments “all along the coast.” Her favorite sports memory is scoring the game-winning goal in double overtime against Solon this season. Is looking forward to graduating as valedictorian later this month. Plans to major in environmental science in college. Enjoys going thrifting with friends, listening to music, traveling and skiing. Favorite show is “The Office.”
Tai Malone FAIRPORT>>BOYS TRACK AND FIELD JUNIOR>>HURDLES, JUMPS
On the track: During the Cuyahoga Relays, was named field events MVP for the top individual efforts in long jump (20-4) and high jump (6-0) and also anchored the runner-up shuttle hurdles relay and ran 400on distance medley.
Off the track: Will turn 17in August. Favorite sports is football. “My favorite memory of all time is definitely my first touchdown, my sophomore year, it was a pick-six.” Does a lot of art in his free time and would consider going to college for it. Favorite show at the moment is “One Piece” and “I’ve been listening to a lot of Young Thug.”
Tara Gall WEST GEAUGA>>SOFTBALL JUNIOR>>THIRD BASE
On the field: Batted 7-for-8with a home run, six RBI, four runs and two walks.Onbase percentage was .818 and slugging percentage was 1.25.
Off the field: “T” says: “Softball is by far my favorite sport; I plan on pursuing softball through college. My favorite memory is from freshman year when my sister and I hit home runs in the same game!” Favorite subjects are math and history. Plays softball year-round, and also plays basketball at West Geauga. Favorite show is “The Vampire Diaries.” Favorite college softball team is the University of Florida.

On the track: At the Miele Invitational, won shot put (47-7) and discus (142-1) to earn outstanding field athlete honors.
Off the track: “Chuck” is a Willoughby Hills resident. He has been throwing the shot put and discus since seventh grade. His favorite sports memory is placing sixth in the weight throw at the 2021 state indoor meet. Hobbies include fishing, cooking and spending quality time with friends and family. Favorite subject is English. Favorite food is steak. Favorite movie is “Glory.” Favorite teams are the Browns, Indians and Cavaliers.

On the field: In four games, batted 6-for16 with three home runs and seven RBI and no strikeouts. Behind the plate, had zero errors, zero passed balls in 345-plus pitches and was 2-for-2 throwing out would-be base stealers.
Off the field: “A” will play softball at Mount Union. Her favorite memory is celebrating victories with the team at Panini’s. Lists juggling as a unique talent. Favorite food is ice cream. Favorite hobby is singing in the car. Favorite musical artist is Michael Jackson.

On the diamond: Batted 8-for-11with two doubles, one walk, one stolen base, four RBI and a .750 OBP.
Off the diamond: Her favorite sports memories are from “playing a hard game and pulling through at the end and seeing how much your team lights up.”
Mariyah Moore GILMOUR>>GIRLS TRACK AND FIELD FRESHMAN>>SPRINTS, RELAYS
On the track: At the Miele Invitational, won 100 and 200, split 60.2 on the winning 4x400 and anchored the fourthplace 4x200.
Off the track: Bedford resident has been running track and field since she was 9. Enjoys spending time with family and friends. Also likes to watch Netflix and listen to music.
Ronnie Schultz BENEDICTINE>>BASEBALL SENIOR>>PITCHER-SHORTSTOP
On the field: In three games, batted 9-for-12with two home runs, two doubles, 11 RBI, eight runs and a 1.500 slugging percentage.
Off the field: Twinsburg resident will attend the University of Cincinnati. Has been on the varsity baseball team every year. Plays summer baseball for Release. Was the quarterback of the football team and is active in the community. His favorite sports memory is advancing to the baseball regional finals his sophomore year. Is a huge Browns fan, and he enjoys watching sports. Is planning on studying business in college.
