Winners announced for Fairmount Art Exhibition
Fairmount Center for the Arts has announced its winners for the 45th annual Fairmount Art Exhibition being held now through Aug. 26 at the center, 8400 Fairmount Road, Russell Township.
The exhibition will be open MondaySaturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with additional hours from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesdays.
More than 170 artists submitted a total of 393 pieces of artwork and 167 entries were accepted into the show.
Judges for this year’s Exhibition are artists Brian Jacobs, Cyndi M. Konopka, and Jerry Schmidt.
Categories include: Painting, Watercolor, Photography, Graphics, Three-Dimensional, and Fiber. Painting includes oil and acrylic with watercolor as its own category.
Photography includes traditional, computer-enhanced photographs and digital prints. Graphics includes all media drawings, pastels, original hand-pulled prints, collage, and digital imaging (created on a computer).
The three-dimensional category includes all media sculpture, wood, glass, pottery, and jewelry.
Fiber includes quilting, weaving, and soft sculpture.
