Lake-Geauga Habitat for Humanity adds 3 to staff

Lake-Geauga Habitat for Humanity recently announced three new hires.

Chad Collins is the ReStore director responsibl­e for the Eastlake location The ReStore sells new and gently used items to the public.

Collins joins the team with eight-plus years of experience in all aspects of ReStore management and is charged with growing sales and profitabil­ity at the store, according to a news release. Previously, he managed the Portage ReStores.

Pam Palermo will serve as director of developmen­t as she brings over 20 years of experience in fundraisin­g, donor management and major gift giving. She returns to the area from Scottsdale, Ariz., where she was the executive director of OdySea Aquarium Foundation.

Her focus will be on growing all aspects of support with the initial goal of funding five new houses per year, the release stated.

Tracy Solan returns to the Habitat team as the Volunteer Services manager. She previously worked with there in 2018 but left to work with an animal welfare agency. She brings over 13 years of nonprofit experience.

Solan’s long-term goal is create a volunteer experience that will lead to a substantia­l increase in volunteers and volunteer hours.

“We are pleased to have these new team members join us during our most exciting time of the year,” Habitat stated in the release. “These next several months are the Season of Giving for all non-profits and LakeGeauga Habitat for Humanity is no exception. We have numerous activities happening during this time including building two homes in Painesvill­e and our annual giving campaign happening later this year.”
