A Mass of Christian Burial for Joanne C. (Cortnik) Molnar, 80, of Eastlake, will be at 10 AM on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Saint Justin Martyr Catholic Church, 35781 Stevens Boulevard, Eastlake.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM on Friday, September 10, 2021 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.

Mrs. Molnar passed away Sunday, September 5, 2021.

Born December 14, 1940 in Cleveland, she has lived in Eastlake for the past 50 years.

She was a member of Saint Justin Martyr Catholic Church, where she was involved with the youth group and taught PSR classes. She will be remembered as a loving wife and mother, a caring friend with a heart of gold who gave all that she had, without asking for anything in return.

Mrs. Molnar was employed as a deputy clerk in the Lake County Auditor’s office retiring after 10 years of service. She had also worked as a beautician before raising her family and later as a teller at Dollar Bank for several years.

Survivors are the love of her life, her husband of 61 years, Daniel F. Molnar; children, Daniel J. Molnar, David (Rachel) Molnar and Melissa (Edward) Bowen; grandchild­ren, Tyler Robinson, Elizabeth and Monica Bowen and brothers, David (Carole) Cortnik and Pat Cortnik. She also leaves many nieces and nephews and their families.

She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Laura Ann Molnar. Her parents, Andrew and Mary (Cerjak) Cortnik and sister, Rebecca Davis are also deceased.

Final resting place will be in All Souls Cemetery, Chardon Township.
