With many upcoming events and opportunities, the club is looking forward to starting their year, according to a release from the club.

At the March 19th meeting, the club officers for 2022 were elected: President Rebecca Zallar, Vice President Samantha Sunderhaft, Secretary Dorothy Hernandez, and Treasurer Emma Parker. In addition, Emily Tessean is the News Reporter, Margaret Zallar is the Hospitality Coordinator, Isabelle Violette is the Historian, and Elliana Majors, Madelyn Tessean, and Gianna Aquila are the Health and Safety Officers. These officers help keep the club in order and make it the best it can be.

The annual Sewing and Quilting Expo was held from April 7-9 at the John S. Knight Center in Akron. The expo offers many vendors, classes, and exciting shows, events, and exhibits. One event at the expo is the Sewing’s Next Generation Fashion Show, where youth sewers and quilters can enter a project they created and compete for a prize, while showcasing all of their hard work. This year, four Giggles ‘n Stitches members entered into the show, each presenting a project they had created and modeling in the fashion show. Upcoming events include the first sewing meeting on May 25. If you would like more information about Giggles ‘n Stitches or Geauga County 4-H, contact the Geauga Extension Office at 440-834-4656.
