Hiram College
Given out annually, and voted on by coaches and athletic staff, the Hiram College Athletic Department awards celebrate all the accomplishments of our student-athletes over the past year.
Among those honored was Delanoe Harris of Euclid.
Harris received the Bill Hollinger NCAC ScholarAthlete honor for football.
Awarded annually to an outstanding graduating male student-athlete. The Bill Hollinger NCAC Scholar-Athlete Award is based on both academic excellence and athletic achievement.
A 2021 Honorable Mention All-North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) selection, Harris not only has been a playmaker on the field for the Terriers but also a consummate professional off the field and in the classroom. A 2021 team captain, Harris led the Hiram defense in tackles in each of the past two years, ranking in the Top 10 in the country with 118 tackles in 2019.
“I am so proud of Delanoe Harris for being awarded the prestigious Bill Hollinger NCAC Scholar-Athlete award,” Head Football Coach Jack Mrozinski said. “Del has worked tirelessly on and off the field for everything he has. We will miss him going forward, but the example he has set will be lasting in this program for years to come.”
Off the field, Harris, an accounting and financial management major, has been a member of Hiram’s Dean’s List since the spring of 2020 and was inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma in 2020-21, as well as the National Football Foundation’s Hampshire Honor Society in 2022.
