Tri-C sets next sessions for Women in Transition program

The Women in Transition program at Cuyahoga Community College will launch summer sessions of online and in-person classes in an effort to empower women in their pursuit of education, training and a career.

Six-week sessions run May 31 to July 7 at the following:

• Eastern Campus, 4250 Richmond Road, Highland Hills — Tuesdays through Thursdays from 1 to 4 p.m.

• Western Campus, 11000 W. Pleasant Valley Road, Parma — Tuesdays through Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

• Online classes via Webex — Mondays through Wednesdays fro 1 a.m. to noon.

The program is also available as a five-week course, minus the Basic Computer class, at the following:

• Olivet Access Center, 8819 Quincy Ave., Cleveland — July 19 to Aug. 18, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1 to 3 p.m.

• Rainbow Terrace, 7310 Carson Ave., Cleveland — July 19 to Aug. 18, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

• Online classes via Webex at Esperanza Access Center, 3104 W. 25th St., Cleveland — Aug. 16 to Sept. 18, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1 to 3 p.m.

Participan­ts can build confidence and skills through classes on personal developmen­t, career exploratio­n and computer literacy, according to a news release.

The course is designed to assist women in transition­al periods of their lives, such as a career change or return to the workforce.

The last day to register for six-week sessions is May 24, and the last day to register for five-week sessions is July 1.

Tri-C’s Women in Transition program debuted in 1978.
